Public Employee Labor Union Personally Shares Loss of Baltimore Teacher to COVID-19

Woodlawn, Maryland:  On behalf of our Board of Directors, along with the retired and active public employee members of the Maryland Classified Employees Association, Inc., I would like to express our deep condolences over the tragic passing of Baltimore City teacher Antwion Ball, lost over the Thanksgiving holiday to coronavirus.  Mr. Ball, known as “Busta” to those who knew and loved him, was part of MCEA’s extended family as a relative of a member of our Board, Yvonne Rice-Thomas.  A graduate of Coppin State University and long time educator, Mr. Ball was preparing to embark on a new chapter in his life when that life was cut short by complications of the COVID-19.  He was, by all accounts, loved by many, will be missed by many, and will be mourned by many.

MCEA extends our deepest thoughts and prayers to his family, friends, those who loved him.
