Competency FOUR is the most significant competency in the observation/evaluation framework because of how much it weighs for mid years and annuals so doing well in it is REALLY IMPORTANT!!

One of the simplest strategies I have found to make sure you are documenting student progress towards mastery in 4C is using the same DOL at the start of the period, as at the end.
On September 29, 2018 the Westbury Teachers Association flooded the streets of Westbury in a sea of green as we marched in unity to support our students and the Westbury community during the "Best homecoming in memory," according to the superintendent and the B.O.E. The teachers help donate the supplies for the breakfast, the floats and the costumes for homecoming. We are the spirit of this school disctrict.
We kept what we had, earned more of what we deserve, and beat back bad proposals—TOGETHER! Now, you get to VOTE!
On October 2nd, 2018, your St. Francis Bargaining Team reached a Tentative Contract Agreement with Ascension management. This concluded weeks of proposal exchanges and discussion regarding wages, staffing, PTO, healthcare and much more! The Bargaining Team is strongly recommending members vote to ratify the agreement, and there will be an in-depth presentation at the ratification vote. The Ratification Vote will be held on October 11th, 2018 in the 8th floor Auditorium from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Union leaders and staff will be there to answer questions from members so everyone has a full understanding of what they are voting on.

Here’s a damning report from Education Week blogger Marc Tucker that rings true in Louisiana as well as many other states: “From the beginning, the leaders of our state education systems have invited testing experts to help them set the cut points for passing or not passing the state tests. They listen gravely to the advice of the experts, then ask them how many students will fail at the recommended cut point and set a new one at a point that is politically tolerable.”
Tucker writes as the Nation’s Report Card’s governing board sets out to write new proficiency standards. He is president of the National Center on Education and the Economy, and he believes that current NAEP standards do not align to real-world college and career readiness. That, he says, must change.
