Rally in Support of Education, City and State Worker Pensions Planned

The Baltimore Education Coalition and its Allies will hold a rally at Baltimore’s City Hall Monday, March 28, at 12:00 noon, to call for full funding of education and full funding of state and municipal worker pensions.

 

Members of the City Union of Baltimore, the Maryland Professional Employees Council (MPEC),  AFT Healthcare-Maryland, teachers, paraprofessionals and school related personnel, and other city and state workers are encouraged to attend.

 

WOL Radio talk show host Larry Young will discuss the rally and its objectives on a special program Friday, March 25th from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. (1010 on the AM dial).

 

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Glenn Middleton of AFSCME, Doc Cheatham of the National Action Network, and Shannon Coleman, Chair of the Baltimore Education Coalition among others will address rally participants.

 

Members of AFT-Maryland and its affiliates are encouraged to attend.
