President Linda Day reelected to second term!

Linda Day Reelected MCEA President

Linda Day, president of the Maryland Classified Employees Association (MCEA), was reelected to that position October 15 during the association’s Annual Convention in Ocean City, Maryland. Day is the only president to be elected to a consecutive second term in the 77 year history of the association. The convention, held October 14-16, featured gubernatorial candidate Anthony Brown as keynote speaker. Fred Mason, Jr., president of the Maryland/District of Columbia AFL-CIO; Joslyn Williams, president of the Metropolitan Washington AFL-CIO; James N. Mathias, Jr., member of the Maryland Senate;  Norman H. Conway Maryland House of Representatives  Delegate; Steve Porter, Director, AFT Public Employees Division; and Elder Lee Michaels, Pastor of the Manifest Wonders Christian Center; also addressed the conference delegates. MCEA officers and board members were elected during the convention and several of the association’s members were recognized and honored for their outstanding contributions to the association and the community.
