Woodlawn, Maryland: On behalf of the retired and active public employee members of the Maryland Classified Employees Association, Inc., I would like to express our heartfelt condolences over the passing of Senator Paul Sarbanes. Senator Sarbanes, through his birth in Salisbury, education in the Ivy League, and life in Baltimore, served Maryland for thirty years in the United States Senate and was a tireless fighter for our nation and our State. Sarbanes was a dedicated public servant and a believer in this country, and he passed that foundation on to his children, including Representative John Sarbanes of Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District. We are all better for his life of service.
