Prescription Problems?

(11/22/13) - Contact Dean Mancina at cfemancina@yahoo.com if you have had a recent issue with new or refill prescriptions via mail order or at a retail pharmacy and you are in the PPO plan. Some members have reported problems obtaining the quantity of pills your doctor prescribed, or getting the specific prescription drug your doctor prescribed. Some have been told the reason why is that our prescription plan changed. That's not true. Medco was bought out last year by Express Scripts, and we are starting to wonder if the company change is

UT Club Blasted from All Sides for ‘Catch an Illegal Immigrant’ Game

A student group at the University of Texas dubbed its mock sting operation “Catch an Illegal Immigrant,” saying the goal is to provoke discussion about an issue of national importance.

United Academics of Philadelphia, American Federation of Teacher’s (AFT) Local 9608 is a union dedicated to making higher education sustainable for the 15,000 adjunct professors teaching in Philadelphia-area colleges. We are organizing to build collective bargaining power, community and resources for a vital yet underrepresented majority of university faculties. Washington State Legislators Urge UW to Negotiate a Fair Contract

Seven Washington State legislators, including Rep. Gerry Pollet and Rep. Larry Seaquist, vice-chair and chair of the House Higher Education Committee, wrote to UW President Young to encourage UW to negotiate a fair contract that provides a living wage and job stability for UW English Language Faculty.

11/19/13 - For both our full- and part-time faculty, the Union and District have agreed on a method of evaluating SLO achievement in the interim until it becomes part of the evaluation process in the contract revisions we are negotiating at the table. It's important that everyone, especially Department Chairs, understand the changes for full-time faculty begining immediately and for part-time faculty beginning in the Spring.
