This legislative session, we have shown up for the legislation that impacts public employees and retirees everywhere, from retiree prescription benefits to education and beyond. We join union members from across the state to discuss the needs of public employees. We are proud to join the rest of the labor movement in a particularly difficult time for public employees across the country and in the state of Maryland.
Our wins in the past six months have not been limited to the legislature. In November, workers in Harford County banded together to win binding arbitration for public employees. MCEA is one of the oldest public employee unions in the state of Maryland. We have secured wins in difficult times together.
This work continues, and we are confident that as we build membership, we build our power.
