Happy Autumn!
MCEA has been working tirelessly to move our local forward. During the last few months, MCEA members have reactivated one council. We have won recognition and subsequently inducted two more councils, and we are organizing 3 more councils soon to be in our local! It is very rewarding to see that our local is moving to greater heights. Let’s keep this momentum going. This could not have been accomplished without your involvement, so
please keep showing up and working with your union.
At our Representative Assembly in October, MCEA held elections for the officer positions of MCEA. The officers were sworn in at that meeting for a 4-year term. The new MCEA officers are as follows: President, Marilyn Miller; Vice President, Raymond Crosby; Secretary, Sherry Anderson; and Treasurer, Dawn Rowe. We look forward to making this local very active in recruitment and member involvement.
